Gang JAILED for 12 years for stealing fleet of CEMENT MIXERS worth £1million

A gang has been jailed for 12 years for stealing a fleet of commercial cement mixers worth more than £1million.
Patrick Bailey, 52, Darren Pinion, 36, and Leslie Delamere, 51, drove off 13 trucks and two cement mixers from business across London and the south east.

The trio were caught when police trailed a stolen cement mixing lorry to Bailey's scrapyard on Five Oaks Lane, in Redbridge, north east London.Patrick Bailey, 52, (pictured left) Darren Pinion, 36, (right) and another man, Leslie Delamere, 51, stole and drove off 13 trucks and two cement mixers worth more than £1million from businesses across the South East.Delemere, who lived in a caravan on an industrial estate in Bow at the time of the thefts was also found to have a stun gun and a substantial amount of class B drugs when his home was searched.
The gang came to the attention of the police when they were spotted surveying a cement mixing yard in Silvertown Way, Newham, on November 17 last year.
They forced their way into the yard and stole two cement mixing lorries worth a total of £360,000.
Police followed as the lorries were driven to two separate locations overnight to ensure neither were fitted with a vehicle tracker.

The first was driven to Havering, while the second was taken to Bailey's scrapyard.
Both vehicles had been fitted with false number plates.
All three men were jailed yesterday after admitting to stealing the 'prolific' haul of 13 lorries and mixers.
Bailey, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to steal and was sentenced to four years and 11 months.
