Ugandan rugby players get asylum in the UK

Two Ugandan rugby players who claimed political asylum in the UK after failing to return home from the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow have been told they can remain in the country, the South Wales Evening Post is reporting .


Benon Kizza and Philip Pariyo are now playing for a small Cardiff rugby team, St Peters. 
Club chairman Joe Sweeney told the newspaper.  "They are both working now."Philip is working washing cars and Benon is working on a building site. " There are no details of the grounds on which they were granted asylum.
