Saudi Prince Killed In Helicopter Crash Near Yemen Border: State Media

The deputy governor of Saudi Arabia's southern province of Asir and several colleagues were killed in a helicopter crash near the border with Yemen on Sunday, Saudi state TV Ekhbariya reported.
Al Arabiya identified the deputy governor as Prince Mansour bin Muqrin and published a video which it said shows bin Muqrin and the other officials boarding the helicopter.
Bin Marquin's death came on the heels of a sweeping crackdown that led to the arrests of dozens of Saudi princes and former ministers on the order of King Salman.
Local newspaper Okaz reported the helicopter went down while the officials were taking a tour of an area near the coast in Asir, which borders Yemen.
According to Al Arabiya, the helicopter was carrying eight people in total, including the secretary and undersecretary of Asir province.
Prince Mansour bin Muqrin, who died in the crash, is the son of another former crown prince.
His father, Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz, was pushed aside by his half-brother King Salman a few months after he took the throne in 2015.
The fate of the other occupants of the helicopter remains unclear, but Saudi news outlet Okaz said that unconfirmed reports suggested there were no survivors.

Texas Church Shooting Leaves at Least 26 Dead, Officials Say

At least 26 people have been killed after a gunman opened fire at a church during Sunday services, among was Annabelle , 14 year old daughter of the First Baptist Church’s pastor Frank Pomeroy officials say.
The attack happened at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, a small town in Wilson County, Texas.
The gunman, who is reported to have been killed in the aftermath, entered the church and opened fire at around 11:30 local time
As he left the church a heroic local resident grabbed his gun and "engaged" him. The gunman got in his vehicle but it ran off the road and he was found dead. It is unclear if he died of a self-inflicted wound or was shot by the citizen who confronted him.
Governor Greg Abbott confirmed the death toll and said it was the worst mass shooting in the history of Texas.
Freeman Martin , the Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman described the suspect as a young white male in his early 20s, dressed in all black and wearing a ballistic vest and tactical vest.
Two officials have identified the suspect in a mass shooting at a Texas church as Devin Patrick Kelley, 26 years.
They say Kelley lived in a suburb of San Antonio and that he doesn't appear to be linked to organised terrorist groups.
Kelley is a reportedly former US Air Force member who served from 2010 to 2014.
He received a dishonourable discharge and was court-martialled in 2014, CBS News reports.
The suspect’s Facebook profile apparently showed a recent photograph of an AR-15–style gun.
The shooting came just over a month after a gunman in Las Vegas, firing down from a hotel room, killed 58 people and wounded hundreds attending an outdoor concert.

Australian police find Nazi machine-gun in traffic stop

Australian police have seized a World War II era machine gun during a traffic stop 100km (60 miles) north of Sydney.
The MP40 submachine gun plus 60 rounds of ammunition was found after police pulled over a Holden Commodore on Oakland Avenue.
According to report, the weapon was developed in Nazi Germany - more than a million were produced during the war.
A 40-year-old man, who was a passenger in the car, was charged with possessing a prohibited firearm.
Police said he was refused bail and would appear at Wyong Local Court on Monday.
Last week, Australia brought in a national gun amnesty because of the growing terrorism threat and an influx of illegal arms in the country.
Those caught with prohibited weapons during that period face fines of up to A$280,000 ($212,730; £166,480) or up to 14 years in prison.

Woman pushed in front of oncoming Berlin U-Bahn train saved by passersby

A woman was rescued by passersby after a man pushed her onto the tracks of an oncoming U-Bahn train in Berlin on Monday.
The U5 train was heading towards the platform at Kaulsdorf-Nord on Monday afternoon when police say a 37-year-old man suddenly jumped up from a bench, approached the woman from behind and pushed her onto the tracks.
The 66-year-old woman injured her knee in the fall, but passersby hurried to help her off of the tracks before the train arrived. People on the platform also managed to restrain the man and alert police.
She was taken to hospital for treatment, while the man was detained by officers before being taken to hospital himself for psychiatric treatment. He reportedly did not say a word about what happened.
