Saudi Prince Killed In Helicopter Crash Near Yemen Border: State Media

The deputy governor of Saudi Arabia's southern province of Asir and several colleagues were killed in a helicopter crash near the border with Yemen on Sunday, Saudi state TV Ekhbariya reported.
Al Arabiya identified the deputy governor as Prince Mansour bin Muqrin and published a video which it said shows bin Muqrin and the other officials boarding the helicopter.
Bin Marquin's death came on the heels of a sweeping crackdown that led to the arrests of dozens of Saudi princes and former ministers on the order of King Salman.
Local newspaper Okaz reported the helicopter went down while the officials were taking a tour of an area near the coast in Asir, which borders Yemen.
According to Al Arabiya, the helicopter was carrying eight people in total, including the secretary and undersecretary of Asir province.
Prince Mansour bin Muqrin, who died in the crash, is the son of another former crown prince.
His father, Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz, was pushed aside by his half-brother King Salman a few months after he took the throne in 2015.
The fate of the other occupants of the helicopter remains unclear, but Saudi news outlet Okaz said that unconfirmed reports suggested there were no survivors.
