During his presidential campaign in 2015, President Buhari made a lot of promises to Nigerians. His party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) promised the people ‘change’ which they believed was certainly going to transform Nigeria. 10 fantastically unbelievable campaign promises Buhari made / promises to Nigerians
1. We will reduce fuel price to N45 per liter.
2. There will be free education at all level.
3. We will pay 23million Nigerians N5,000 monthly.
4. We will remove fuel subsidy.
5. One free meal (to include fruits) daily, for public primary school pupils.
6. We will revive the entire refinery in the first one year in office and build more to produce more for our domestic consumption.
7. We will crush Boko Haram in the first 3 months in office.
8. Three million Jobs per year.
9. We will stop the importation of refined products.
10. Stabilizing the naira.
That was our president's fantastic promises to Nigerians.
They protested that they will remove the fuel subsidy if elected but today it is opposite, the government is paying more on fuel subsidy than the last regime. Nigeria is now the poverty capital of the world. Also, Nigeria has been ranked as the second worst nation in power supply as power drops to 3,851 megawatts, MW. At the moment, Nigeria is the world capital of out-of-school children with more than 13 million and more than 20 million have lost their jobs.
The question now, which of the above-mentioned promise did they keep, none rather it was all FAKE and FAILED PROMISES, things are even worse now.
