Former governor of Ekiti state, Peter
Ayodele Fayose, , has regained freedom after 13 days in custody of the Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to his media aide, Lere Olayinka, he appeared at the Federal High
Court, Ikoyi, on Tuesday, and was granted freedom after fulfilling the
conditions of his bail application.
Fayose, who is facing trial for alleged money laundering and abuse of
office, walked into the commission’s head office in Abuja on October 16, meaning
he was in detention for 13 days.
He is expected to return for the continuation of his trial on November 19,
2018.
