Mayweather-Pacquiao fight tickets sell out in minutes

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao's fight sold out within minutes and tickets immediately appeared on websites for as much as £47,000 ($70,790).

Only 1,000 tickets were made available to the public for the fight on 2 May at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The remaining 15,500 seats will go to fighters, sponsors and promoters.

The cheapest ticket for the bout cost £1,000 ($1,500), rising to about £5,000 ($7,500).

The contest between the two has been set since February, but a ticket contract was only finalised this week.

Tickets officially went on sale on Thursday at 20:00 BST on the MGM Grand's website and Ticketmaster.  
But within minutes they appeared on sites such as StubHub  - an online marketplace owned by eBay - with the cheapest priced at £3,511 ($5,270).
American Mayweather, 38, and Filipino Pacquiao, 36, are considered two of the best fighters of their generation and the bout, which has been in the pipeline for five years, is set to generate £162m ($250m).
Mayweather has won all 47 of his fights, 26 by knockout, while Pacquiao has a record of 57 wins, five losses and two draws.

Champions League: Premier League hit by Uefa seed change

The Premier League will have only one top-seeded club in next season's Champions League after Uefa introduced new regulations.
For the 2015-16 campaign, the eight top seeds will be the champions from Europe's top seven leagues and the competition's holders.
The change in rules should lead to more of Europe's major clubs meeting each other in the group stage.
Previously teams were seeded by Uefa's rankings, based on results in Europe.
That meant Chelsea and Arsenal were both in pot one for the group-stage draw at the start of the season.
But, as there is no Premier League side left in this year's competition, only the English champions will be placed among the top seeds next season.

UEFA fine Guardiola over T-shirt statement

Coach Pep Guardiola of Bayern Munich has been charged by UEFA after he wore a T-shirt to a Champions League news conference that supported a campaign to investigate the death of a journalist at last year's World Cup.

UEFA said Wednesday that "disciplinary proceedings have been opened" against the Bayern coach for an "incident of non-sporting nature." The case will be dealt with on May 21.

Guardiola wore the T-shirt Monday ahead of Bayern's quarterfinals, second-leg match against Porto. It supported a campaign to investigate an Argentine sports journalist's death in a road traffic accident in Brazil.

Players, coaches and club officials are not allowed "to transmit any message that is not fit for a sports event, in particular if it is of a political, offensive or provocative nature" under UEFA rules.

UEFA says its disciplinary panel will also consider extending a mandatory one-match stadium ban for Porto coach Julen Lopetegui, who was sent from the dugout near the end of Bayern's 6-1 win on Tuesday.

German woman pregnant with quadruplets - at 65

A 65-year-old German mother of 13 is getting ready to give birth again — this time to quadruplets.

Annegret Raunigk, a Berlin schoolteacher who is due soon to retire, is expected to give birth to the four babies within the next two months, Bild newspaper and RTL television reported.

She already has children ranging in age from 9 to 44, from five fathers. Raunigk said she decided to become pregnant again because her 9-year-old daughter wanted a younger sibling.

Her decision was met with widespread criticism by medical professionals as a risk both to her and the unborn babies.

"Any pregnancy of a woman over age 45 has to be considered a high-risk pregnancy; over 60 this is naturally extreme," Dr. Holger Stepan, head of obstetrics at the University of Leipzig, told the dpa news agency.

"The 65-year-old body is definitely not designed to carry a pregnancy, not of one child and certainly not of quadruplets," he said.

Raunigk told Bild that donated eggs were fertilized and implanted at a clinic outside Germany, which was successful only after multiple attempts.

She defended her decision: "How does one have to behave at 65?"

"They can see it how they want to," she said, "and I'll see it the way I think is right."

French climber scales Dubai skyscraper

A French climber has scaled one of Dubai's tallest skyscrapers, relying on just chalk and sticky tape on his fingertips to help him up the 75-storey high Cayan Tower in the emirate's glitzy marina area.

Alain Robert, 52, completed climbing the 1007-foot (307 meter) high structure in just 70 minutes on Sunday. He had no harness and little space for his feet on the ledges of the tower, which twists as it ascends.

Robert, who is often described as "The French Spiderman," is no stranger to scaling tall buildings.

In 2011, he climbed the world's tallest tower in Dubai. Using a rope and harness to comply with organizers' requirements, it took him just over six hours to scale the 2,717-foot (828 meter) tall Burj Khalifa.
