President Goodluck Jonathan set for UN job

President Goodluck Jonathan is set to be appointed as a global crises envoy by the United Nations (UN), sources said on Monday.
Jonathan will hand over power to the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on May 29, 2015.He would be the first African former president to hold such responsibility and would oversee UN affairs on the African continent.
The role is similar to that of former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, who was appointed the Middle East envoy for the United Nations after leaving office.
Jonathan, 57, holds a B.Sc. in zoology, an M.Sc. in hydrobiology and fisheries and a Ph.D in zoology, all from the University of Port Harcourt. Prior to his role as President, Jonathan served as governor of Bayelsa State from 2005 to 2007 and as Vice President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010.
From lecturer to Commissioner, from Commissioner to Deputy Governor, from Deputy Governor to Governor, from Governor to Vice President, from Vice President to Acting President and from Acting President to President. Now, from President to a World Leader!

Mayweather aims money taunt at Pacquiao ahead of Las Vegas bout

Floyd Mayweather taunted Manny Pacquiao ahead of their eagerly-anticipated super-fight on Saturday, telling him he should be earning more money.
The fight is the richest in history, with the fighters sharing around £150m, although the exact figure is unknown.
However, the purse split is 60-40 in Mayweather's favour and the American legend said his Filipino rival had not been looked after properly.
"If he'd have worked with us, he'd have made $100m (£65m)," said Mayweather.
"Financially, he hasn't been treated right for this fight. And [this fight] is all about the money.
"Saturday is just work, I'll just do what I do. But I'll make upwards of $200m for this fight, which is $50m apiece for my kids. So it was a smart move."
Five-weight world champion Mayweather, nicknamed 'Money', came face to face with six-weight world champion Pacquaio for the first time at a Miami Heat basketball game in January.
The 38-year-old American said he instigated the initial meeting in Pacquiao's Miami hotel suite - which Mayweather said was not up to his exacting standards.

Champions League: Premier League hit by Uefa seed change

The Premier League will have only one top-seeded club in next season's Champions League after Uefa introduced new regulations.
For the 2015-16 campaign, the eight top seeds will be the champions from Europe's top seven leagues and the competition's holders.
The change in rules should lead to more of Europe's major clubs meeting each other in the group stage.
Previously teams were seeded by Uefa's rankings, based on results in Europe.
That meant Chelsea and Arsenal were both in pot one for the group-stage draw at the start of the season.
But, as there is no Premier League side left in this year's competition, only the English champions will be placed among the top seeds next season.
